TOILET UPDATE
phew, okay. for the past few weeks, we've been busy coming up with the designs for the toilets. and they were approved last week. That means, we've gotten the green light from Mr. Chan to carry on with our project :)
So, we're gonna order the paint this week, and getting it delivered so we can start painting immediately. This week, we'll be painting the 6 T-Block toilets. They will be solid colours, based on the house colours to help tie in zaki's designs. I hope we'll be able to complete this in one day.
So keep your tuesday (9th December) and wednesday (10th December) mornings free guys! :)
Ian will be in-charge of manpower for this day, so inform him if you're coming.
The more the merrier :D but not too much tho heh
During this coming week, we'll also be starting the sketching on the library toilets so we can just come in the following week to start painting. I was thinking one person in-charge on one cubicle door, and two people do the ceiling designs. That means, we need 8 people for each toilet.
VOLUNTEER PLEASE! :D
I know most of you guys are really busy, with trainings, overseas trips, camps, and god knows what. so we'll try to do everything in the morning, starting at 8 am. I know it's a little early. But early start, early end eh!
Once the timetable is printed, I will stick it up outside all the toilets for your convenience. So you can look and see what days you can come. I hope everybody will chip in for this man.
and remember, you'll be awarded CIP for this hit so incentive, yo!
and we've been working really hard on this, and Mr Chan and other teachers have really high hopes on what this will turn out to be like so FULL ON GUYS! we've gotta do this, and we gotta do this good! :D
i can't believe this is actually happening. god, after months of wishful thinking.

T-BLOCK TOILET UPDATE.
So basically been busy with my production/musical that's still running at UCC theatre (www.gatecrash.com.sg - IT'SMYLIFE! ^^) and the designs need to be finalized and printed asap. So GO DOWNLOAD the proposal I sent in to Mr. Tang and READ IT. then COME UP with DESIGNS that can be used.
DOWNLOAD HERE!:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/yd6fr4
I'm going with the Banksy theme as you can see.
Changes that need to be made are:
1)Colours - There are 6 toilets, we're gonna change it to HOUSE COLOURS as far as possible So the red, yellow, green and blue stays, + one more purple and orange.
2)Mr. Tang says keep the Banksy theme but get ORIGINAL photos/designs. Currently, we need to change the GIRL FROM THE RED TOILET, the yellow toilet is fine, and just improve on green and blue.
3) I NEED IDEAS PEOPLE cause god knows what the existing themes are talking about. Think of OTHER various themes/concepts that you can implant into the toilets and give your opinions cause I'd love to hear it GOOD or BAD. constructive please.
4) SOMEWHERE ALONG NEXT WEEK I'M GONNA TAKE MEASUREMENTS and I really really appreciate it if you guys could come down too! Details later.
Sooo thanks so much and ideas by FRIDAY 5TH DECEMBER on a white background please? uploaded here so we can discuss. (Play with threshold on photoshop to get the banksy effect! ^^)
Remember we're printing this so the sky's the limit but please keep within the theme of black and solid colours! Thanks soooo much! :)
Remember, we're ALL in this TOGETHER! :):)

Toilet project
Sorry sorry for not doing much these few weeks!!!
As you know stupid PW is until 7 Nov, and the preparation for MT A levels and PW is during October. So during that period i think we will be quite free in school cos no lessons. So the planning will be done in the month of october (desigining and buying of paint). If our project is approved and given the fund, we can start by November. But the problem is that Mr Chan MAY not approve. Mr Tang said that the project is "technically" ok and usually these type of projects are easily approved. But still...we have to show the design as soon as possible.
So i hope that immediately after promos, we can have a meeting to discuss on the major stuffs of the project and design the layouts as soon as possible. K, so for now.....GO MUG HARD.
Thank you.
Kiahong.

Painting of the Week (1)
As far as possible I will be posting up a 'painting of the week (POTW)' for us to be acquainted with more artworks, relevant to what we are studying at that moment.
For this week, the painting is:

From the 1920s to the '40s, Brancusi was preoccupied by the theme of a bird in flight. He concentrated not on the physical attributes of the bird but on its movement. In Bird in Space, wings and feathers are eliminated, the swell of the body is elongated, and the head and beak are reduced to a slanted oval plane. Balanced on a slender conical footing, the figure's upward thrust is unfettered. The marble surfaces are painstakingly smoothed and polished. Brancusi's inspired abstraction realizes his stated intent to capture "the essence of flight."
